The Minnesota Wings Motorcycle Club Inc. was formed in 1983 by a small group whom all shared a common passion, riding Honda Gold Wings. Current ownership of a Honda Gold Wing, Gold Wing F6B or Gold Wing Valkyrie is required to become a member of Minnesota Wings. Minnesota Wings consist of multiple chapters across Minnesota. Two state events are held each year, the Summer Get-Together (normally held in August) and the Winter Mixer (held in February/March). The chapters take turns planning and hosting these events. Additional information regarding the state organization can be found at www.mnwings.com.
The NorthStar Chapter was established in March 2016 by a group of active Gold Wing enthusiasts. The NorthStar Chapter services the North and Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
During the riding season, May through September, weekly dinner rides are organized and lead by Chapter members. Rides leave at 6:00, 6:30 or 7:00 depending on the ride point and the amount of daylight and all leave from one of the ride points. See the Chapter Calendar for the start time and the ride point for that ride. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month during riding season, we have the monthly business meeting/dinner at McDuff's Bar & Grill, 16659 St. Francis Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303 (map). Dinner starts around 6:00 pm and the meeting starts at 7:00 pm. If the weather is nice and someone has a destination, a dessert ride is not out of the question.
During non-riding season (October-April), members volunteer to host weekly Tuesday dinner get-togethers which begin around 6:00, with the exception of the 3rd Tuesday which is the monthly business meeting/dinner at McDuff's Bar & Grill, 16659 St. Francis Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303 (map). Dinner starts around 6:00 pm and the meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
In addition to the weekly Tuesday rides, NorthStar members plan and lead weekend rides, impromptu day rides and the annual “Fall Color” ride. The NorthStar Chapter also participates in a number of motorcycle related functions including various Dealer Open Houses and the Swan Run.
We invite you to join us for a Tuesday night “test” ride and/or dinner so you can learn what NorthStar is all about and meet our members. You can select the “Calendar” drop down which will provide you with time and location of the activity. The NorthStar chapter requires helmets when riding a club event.
